Friday 23rd September 2011 Tickets: £10.00 each Frome Town Football Club are proud to support ‘Time is Precious’ and are delighted they are our chosen charity. The charity was set up in the memory of Ben Halford who sadly passed away in October 2010 due to a four year battle with cancer. The time his parents Nicky and Neil spent with him in hospital made them realise just how important family are to young patients who might be facing a stay in hospital. Time is Precious has been set up to support not just those children who, because of illness or disability, find themselves in hospital for treatment but their families who want to be with them because time is just that, precious. Their aim is to help provide the hospitals where Ben received his care with the equipment and facilities to make life a bit more bearable for young patients and their families. Family and friends like to visit young patients, but visits can be cut short because it is difficult keeping brothers and sisters entertained. They want to be able to make visiting time a happy occasion for everyone so they can enjoy playing games, reading, chatting and just being a family. Frome Town Football Club are delighted to be working with such a local and worthy charity and we want our supporters, players and sponsors to help as well with the many fund raising initiatives that will be going on. WRIST BANS NOW AVAILABLE ‘FTFC supports Time is Precious’ wrist bands are now available to purchase from behind the bar at The Venue & Sports Bar or from the Club Shop on matchdays. The minimum donation is £1.00 per band but we are always grateful for larger donations. COLLECTING TINS There are collecting tins in each of the bars within the Venue & Sports Bar so please drop any unwanted change (or notes!) into them or even donate your change from your round of drinks! 80’S NIGHT We are delighted to confirm that nearly £1000 has been raised towards the charity after our 80’s night and charity football match. Huge thanks go to Paul Carver and Louise Coate as well as all the players in both teams for their efforts.
