Name: Dave ‘Bertie’ Allen Position: Striker Profile: One of the all time leading goalscorers of the Club who played in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Always knew where the back of the net was and after finishing with the first team his scoring record in the reserves reached even higher levels. A true legend of the Club. Name: Harry Adams Position: Physiotherapist / Grounds Man Profile: Harry, along with his wife Rose, is a true great of the Club. He spent many years working hard for the Club both on and off the pitch and was well known and respected throughout football in the South West. Harry and Rose used to run the original small club house. Name: Steve Walkey Position: Midfielder Profile: A creative and goalscoring midfielder who, like Dave Allen, played for many years with his home town Club for both first team and reserves. Still seen around the ground watching games and no doubt wishing he could still be playing. Name: Mark Salter Position: Striker Profile: All time leading scorer and appearance maker in the Clubs long history. Joined as an 18 year old and went on to play for Southend United & Bath City before a return to Frome. He left in the summer of 2010 having amassed 450 appearances and 292 goals. A modern day legend. Name: Paul Thorpe Position: Defender Profile: Instrumental in helping revive the Clubs fortunes when languising in the first division of the Western League. Went on to make 125 appearances as well as taking on the managers role for eighteen months. One of the most well liked and respected people to pull on a Robins shirt. Name: Tony Pounder Position: Sweeper / Midfielder Profile: Joined with Paul Thorpe and has been one of the best players to have worn the Frome colours. Formerly played league football for Bristol Rovers and was a legend at his home town side of Yeovil Town where he helped them reach the football league.
