Poor showing see Town lose at Hemel Saturday 17th March 2012 A poor display by the Robins saw them go down 3-1 at struggling Hemel Hempstead.  The Robins had a perfect start scoring after just 50 seconds through Matt Smith but despite dominating for the next 40 minutes they fell away badly conceding two just before the break and then a third after the interval.  Frome rarely looked like reducing the deficit and the hosts could have added more to their tally but Frome will have to regroup ready for an important game at Redditch on Tuesday evening. Sports through to final Saturday 17th March 2012 Frome Town Sports have reached the final of the Somerset Intermediate Cup with a 1-0 win over Taunton side Sampford Blues in their semi-final that was played at the AlderSmith Stadium.  The only goal of the game was scored by player manager Gareth Wright after just 20 minutes and despite a few scary moments the Reds hung on in front of a crowd approaching 100 to make it through to the prestigious final. Allison signs up Wednesday 29th February 2012 Frome Town are pleased to confirm they have completed the signing of Sam Allison from Chippenham Town.  Experienced forward Allison has been with the Bluebirds for a number of years and been a constant performer for the Wiltshire side prior to this season where he moved more into refereeing as he looks to progress through the officiating ranks on a fast track scheme.  Allison will be available for the majority of the rest of the season and will be an important addition for the Robins and everybody connected with the Club welcomes Sam (cousin of former Frome player Simeon Allison) to the club.  Meanwhile Twaine Plummer looks set to sign for Chippenham - the striker who was still on the Robins books has been playing for Radstock Town. Town out of Premier Cup Wednesday 29th February 2012 Towns last chance of silverware ended with a 2-0 defeat to Conference South side Weston super Mare.  The visitors scored twice in the opening sixteen minutes through Nabi Diallo and Chris Young.  The Robins are now left to concentrate on securing their place in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.
