Darren Perrin chose to field a strong side for this  match and included Tom Pass, Mike Reaney and and new striker Darren White in the starting line up for the first time this season, and it only took a few seconds for White make his mark as his header from a left wing corner was just cleared off the line by a Brislington defender. As the bright start continued, White was again causing problems, and a  close range shot in the 6th minute flew off a Brislington arm for a corner, and seven minutes later, he produced a clever chip from 25 yards that had Humphries back pedalling desperately, but the ball landed just over the crossbar. Frome deservedly took the lead in the 14th minute as Matt Smith produced a peach of a 25 yard right foot shot that flew into the goal off of the underside of the crossbar for his second goal for the Club. Frome continued to cause the visitor's defence problems, a lob from Allison just cleared the bar in the 18th minute, and in the 22nd minute, Cheeseman caused problems in the opposing penalty area, won the ball and set White up for a right foot shot that flew just past the post from 15 yards. Brislington had their first effort on goal in the 36th minute as Pass comfortably dealt with a low 20 yard shot, but Frome again caused problems on the right as Allison started running at his defender, getting to the dead ball line and crossing the ball. This tactic resulted in chances for Evans and White in the space of three minutes, but the second goal came from the left wing in the 43rd minute as Thomson beat his defender and produced a perfect outswinging cross that found the head of the unmarked White and the ball flew into the net from 12 yards for an excellent goal. The second half saw Frome carry on in the same vein, and in the 49th minute, Allison again produced a teasing, perfect cross that only just evaded White's head, followed by an overhead kick from Lapham that cleared Humphries but then rebounded into his midriff off of the base of the far post. As Darren Perrin introduced substitutions, Frome seemed to ease off a little, and Brislington started to win more possession and territory, but the Frome defence was again on top of their game and chances were few and far between at either end for the remainder of the second half, although the home crowd were becoming concerned that a Brislington goal would produce a frantic last few minutes, but it never happened. Just as it looked as if the match would end 2-0, Matt Peters evaded everyone and produced the leap of the season to powerfully head home a Thomson right wing corner for his first goal since the very first game of Frome's new life in the Southern League. Simeon Allison was chosen as Frome's Man of the Match by representatives of "No.7, The Bridge" who  had sponsored the match.
