With Tom Evans and Mike Perrott both missing out through suspension, Ricky Hulbert gone to New Zealand, Ben Thomson and Shaun Benison both set to miss rest of season through injury and Chris Allen failing a late fitness test, Darren Perrin brought Lloyd Matthews and Jamie Jordan back into squad as well as calling up under 18s player Mason Regler.  Goalkeeping coach Lloyd Chamberlain was also named as a substitute for the match. The match started with both goalkeepers having to deal with long range free kicks, but then Frome's Matt Smith once again showed his long range shooting ability in the 7th minute as he latched onto a Lloyd Matthews flick and unerringly found the top corner of the net to give Frome the lead. Sam Allison bravely blocked a stinging shot with his face in the 12th minute, but Banbury then equalised in the 17th minute as  as a low, long range effort from Joe Coleman was heading towards the net, but was eventually turned home by Tommy Kinch. As the match settled, neither side really found any great fluency, but the 43rd minute saw a major stroke of luck fro Frome as Josh Cole thundered a shot against the post from the edge of the area and hit the rebound straight at Darren Chitty. Frome regained their lead a minute before half time as Matthews latched onto an Alex Lapham through ball and twisted and turned past two defenders before shooting under Andy Kemp, who was able to get a touch but couldn't stop the ball from  trickling into the net. A period of Frome pressure led to Smith finding Dean Evans, and a  superb lob over  Andy Kemp saw the ball hit the crossbar and rebound out to Luke Ballinger who managed to shoot wide from distance. Banbury equalised in the 83rd minute  after Howard Forinton went down in the box, but the ball wasn’t cleared and Ricky Johnson fired home past Chitty , and then Frome survived a torrid last few minutes as Banbury threw everything at them looking for the winner, but Evans managed to head off the line in the 92nd minute and Frome brought a welcome point back to Somerset. Lloyd Matthews was chosen as man of the match.     Frome Town Banbury Andy Kemp Ben Thackery Tommy Kinch Liam Dolman Dan Chilton Joe Coleman Ryan Howell Josh Cole Josh Blake Howard Forinton Simeon Williams Ricky Johnson Dior Angus Liam Richardson Ben Polk Danny Edmond Officials xxxxx Match Photos Photos of this match taken by our expert photographer Chas Hadfield can be viewed by clicking on this rectangle Match Sponsor xxx Ball Sponsor xxx
