Frome survived a scare in only the 2nd minute as Tom Evans and Ryan Bennett seemed to get in each others way, allowing Craig Wilding a clean shot on goal, only to be denied by a brilliant save from the legs of Darren Chitty. As they settled into the game however, Frome started to look the more dangerous, and the 8th minute saw Josh Brigham whip in a cross that Nathan Vaughan could only partially punch clear. Ben Thomson immediately crossed the ball back into the danger area allowing Ricky Hulbert a volley that cleared the crossbar. Two minutes later and Kyle Tooze was denied by a great blocking tackle from Gary Walker as he cut into the box leaving two players in his wake, and then four minutes later Hulbert set up Dean Evans, only for the shooting chance to again miss the target. Evans again cleared the bar in the 19th minute and Frome were now looking in complete control, but with no goals to show for their dominance. Matt Smith did well in the 31st minute to turn inside his marker and shoot, but then as half time approached, Chitty was called into action twice, first to save from Durrell, and then to hold onto a free kick from the same player a few minutes later. Frome were convinced that they should have been awarded a penalty in the 51st minute as Dean Evans was flattened from behind by Andrew Jones, but nothing was awarded, and ten minutes later, Evans was again unlucky not to convert as Hulbert managed to get to a Tooze cross, and flick the ball on. As the match entered the last twenty minutes, Evesham brought on Lewis Pountney, and suddenly Evesham seemed to take the initiative. Tom Evans fouled Durrell in the 70th minute, the free kick found the head of Wilding and only a good save from Chitty prevented the opening goal. Four minutes later and Chitty was again in action to save from Durrell, and the 83rd minute saw Wilding volley over the bar as a header back across the box from Pountney found him in space. With Evesham piling on the pressure, Frome looked like they were going to hold out for the draw, but the 4th minute of injury time saw Pountney win yet another header allowing Wilding to shoot low past Chitty and into the far corner with the very last kick of the match. Matt Smith was chosen as man of the match by the Frome committee.
