It all started brightly for Frome with Evesham’s off side trap looking fragile, and Luke Ballinger shot wide in the 14th minute after beating the trap, and four minutes later Ricky Hulbert found space but couldn’t find enough power to beat  Daniel Platt in the visitor’s goal. A Josh Brigham throw in the 27th minute led to a blocked shot by Jake Harris,  and then the pressure eventually told in the 30th minute as loan striker Harris beat two tackles on the edge of the box and shot low under Platt into the corner of the goal to give Frome a 1-0 lead, and to bring him his second goal in as many matches. Evesham started to look dangerous on the break and Darren Chitty was brought into action twice shortly afterwards as he saved from Ben Mackey and then Marcus Palmer, but then Ben Thomson had a chance as he let fly with a left foot shot that flew across the face of the goal before going wide of the far post. Hulbert found space in the 36th minute but shot wide, and then Ballinger repeated the feat two minutes later, but it was left to Evesham to show how to shoot from range and they duly equalised two minutes before half time as Marcus Palmer produced a perfect shot from the edge of the box that curled into the far corner. Frome looked sharp after the break, with Ballinger doing well to get to the dead ball line and produce a cross that Hulbert headed over, and then a goal bound Lapham shot was deflected for a corner. The 51st minute saw a Ballinger chip put Harris in but he flicked the ball past the post and then brought a good save from Platt a few minutes later. In the early stages of the second half it seemed likely that Frome would go on to win this match, but then Evesham came more and more into the match, and after Hulbert effort was disallowed for offside, Evesham worryingly began to dominate possession in the Frome half with Frome struggling to mount a meaningful attack. The pressure told in the 83rd minute as another curled right foot shot into the corner from Lewis Pountney  gave Evesham a 2-1 lead that Frome never looked like recovering from, and Evesham comfortably dominated the remaining minutes for a priceless away win. Jake Harris was awarded the man of the match award by representatives of Moss, Naylor & Young who had sponsored the match.
