Saturday September 15th 2011 Hallen Away FA Cup Saturday 17th September 2011   FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round   Hallen 2 Frome Town 2 Frome Scorers:  Hulbert (55), Ballinger (58)   Hallen Scorers: Collett (34p), (90)   Entertainment Value: 3   Star Man: Luke Ballinger   After a good spell early in the second half, Frome Town then took their foot off the pedal, allowed Hallen back into the match and eventually succumbed to a late, late equaliser that ensured that the two sides will meet again on Wednesday night.   After a frantic start, which saw several long range efforts deflected for corners at either end and Frome having a goal disallowed in the 15th minute for a push on the goalkeeper, the  match settled into a pattern that saw Hallen generally playing the better football, and a slick passing move in the 27th minute opened up the Frome defence and only the legs of Darren Chitty saved a certain goal from Kyle O’Donovan Hallen took the lead in the 34th minute as Ryan Bennett was adjudged to have held Ryan King as he tried to turn in the Frome area, and Tom Collett despatched the penalty with no problems. At this stage, Frome were tending to play too many long balls over midfield, Hallen looked the better side going forward and only an excellent late tackle from Dean Flockton prevented the dangerous Collett from probably getting his second goal of the afternoon. No doubt manager Darren Perrin had plenty to say at half time, and Frome looked a completely different side at the start of the second half, with more attacks in the first quarter than in the entire first half. The 47th minute saw Josh Brigham blaze over the bar from the edge of the area, a minute later and a Flockton crossfield ball let Ballinger in for a shot that was well saved, and the 52nd minute was Nick Yeo pull off three point blank saves in the space of a minute to deny Hulbert, Brigham and Reaney. The pressure paid off in the 55th as Twaine Plummer did well to get Luke Ballinger trough on the right, his low shot was parried by Yeo, but Hulbert was on hand to score from close range at the far post. Plummer again did well 3 minutes later as he beat off several challenges, advanced and hit a stinging 20 yard shot that Yeo pushed away for a corner. Ballinger took the corner and curled the ball directly into the top far corner of the net to score direct from the corner with Yeo despairingly trying to get to the ball.   Frome looked on course for victory at this stage, especially with home keeper Yeo obviously struggling with an ankle injury, but they eased off the pressure, and Hallen were rewarded with the equaliser in the 90th as a free kick was floated into the Frome box, Chitty produced a great point blank save, but was powerless to stop Collett tapping home the rebound from close range.
