Frome Town’s Educational Liaison Officer Nicola Coles said of the visit: “Darren was excellent with the children and we can’t thank him enough for giving up his time to come in and speak to them.  They didn’t want him to leave so he has had to promise to come back again! Visits to schools are just a part of what can be achieved using football as an educational tool and its really amazing at the reaction we have had from not just the children but the parents as well”. Perrin was equally as impressed at just what an impact football can make having now seen it first hand: “It was great to see children so passionate about education and learning and also what a connection the class and the school are getting with Frome Town and some of the displays and work they have done is fantastic – it was a pleasure to be able to go in and help out”. More visits to the school are planned by other members of the Club for the future.
