FROME IS YOUR TOWN | YOUR TEAM | YOUR COMMUNITY Somerset & The South West’s Community Club of the Year (2012)

Frome Town AFC are an unincorporated membership run club with their registered office being The Urban Stadium, Berkley Rd, Frome, BA11 2EH

Back in 2008 the football club made the decision it wanted to change its philosophy and become a much more community orientated organisation. It’s been a long road since then in preparation and planning but the fruits of our hard work are certainly there now to be seen by everybody with the Club now supplying coaching to schools, developing our own academic programme, run our own youth and mini sections, have a better relationship with the ladies teams as well as The Venue & Sports Bar providing facilities for all manners of local groups and organisations for them to be able to run. Because of the work we do off the pitch we were delighted to achieve the status of an FA Charter Standard Community Club and then honoured to receive the title of Club of the year for both Somerset and the South West in 2012 as well as picking up £50,000 from the Football Pools for facility improvements. We really do believe in our motto of Frome is Your Town | Your Team | Your Community Gary Collinson Community Development Officer
