The closing date for entries is Tuesday 7th May. Town part company with DP Thursday 28th March 2013 Frome Town FC have today parted company with manager Darren Perrin.   Chairman Jeremy Alderman said of the  announcement: “We would like to place on record our sincerest thanks to Darren for the work he has carried out since joining us both on and off the pitch and his efforts in helping us attain Southern Premier Division status.  He will always be welcomed back to the Club and we wish him well for the future”. Chairman makes statement on language Tuesday 27th November 2012 In the last week things have been said that I feel I should comment on. The negativity on the unofficial forum and around the ground at this present time needs to stop. Yes, you may think mistakes have been made but decisions we make are in the Clubs best interest and trying to keep everyone happy not just a few. Please remember there are always two sides to every story! We need to look forward and get behind Darren and the players and I believe we can go a lot further but we need to work together.  The plans we have for the club in the future will make us a one of the largest in the area. The facts are simple, the language is out of order and we know we have lost supporters because of it and we've lost our potential first national large sponsor after a lot of hard work by Ivan. We're not blaming the decline in gate numbers as the only reason on the few individuals but they're not helping.  Some of the chanting is amusing and I laugh at it as much as anyone but please do it without the bad language, these few are not sixteen year old kids they're adults with children of their own and should know better. Please think about the bigger picture of the club, not just a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon, for the sake of our reputation. It takes years to get people to come through the turnstiles but one game to lose them. With our future plans more children are being encouraged with parents to come to the club in the next couple of years so the bad language has to stop. Please put yourselves in order before it's too late.  We're not a little club in the Western League we're a Southern Premier League Club and the youth is your future players and supporters. We believe as a committee encouraging youngsters to come at an early age may mean they stay for years to come. I would also like to mention the Committees duties, it has been said that some of us do not speak to supporters on match days and wonder what we are doing.  Our day starts at 12.00 and goes on until 7pm most games. We are busy entertaining visiting directors and sponsors and running the club on match day which is no different than other clubs. Most clubs we visit the directors do not stand on gates or do the turnstiles but other clubs get help, we don't. We would love to relax, have a pint & not wear a suit but to just watch the football but in the positions we're in - we can't and are happy to do so for the benefit of FTFC. No other club needs to explain this and it's very sad we have to, all our jobs are 24-7  & this is first and last time I will explain what we do, some of you need to trust that we are working very hard and I for one am happy the Committee is in the back ground as this is the way it will stay - the players & Darren should be the talk of the club not us. Something else that has been brought to my attention is not appreciating the supporters, the majority of you are fantastic, and I think the best, but I am sorry that we cannot show this by reducing ticket prices because we need every single penny (surely nobody want budgets reduced?). We are all in this together from the Committee to the supporters, spending money to go to a game, buying a pint or working 30 hours a week for nothing. Let's all concentrate on the players and enjoying the football.
