Town drawn away first in RIC Friday 8th March 2013 The Robins will be away to Arlesey Town in the first leg of the Red Insure Cup which will be played on Tuesday 19th March with the return leg at the AlderSmith Stadium on Tuesday 9th April.  It is expected that normal matchday admission prices will be charged. Town through to RIC Final Wednesday 6th March 2013 Frome Town booked a two legged league cup final against fellow Premier Division side Arlesey thanks to a 2-1 win over Slough Town.  The visitors took the lead via Ryan O’Toole before on loan Salisbury City midfielder Matt Clark fired home a sweet effort and then debutant striker Mitchell Bryant fired in a winner from Luke Balinger’s cross.  Slough should have been awarded a goal when a free kick found the back of the net off the bar only for the assistant to say it hadn’t crossed the line and then at half time the referee became incapacitated and was replaced fortunately by a qualified linesman in attendance! Robins grab Bryant from Cambs Tuesday 5th March 2013 Frome Town are delighted to confirm they have completed the signing of Mitchell Bryant from Cambridge City.  The former Reading striker has also been on the books of Cirencester, Swindon Supermarine and Hungerford Town and once scored a double hat-trick while on loan at Basingstoke from the Royals against Weymouth.  Everybody at the club welcomes Mitchell to Frome Town FC and we hope he has a successful and enjoyable stay with the Club. Change to traffic around ground Tuesday 5th March 2013 As part of the ongoing changes around the ground the Club have now changed the route for traffic going to the Venue & Sports Bar.  Cars will now need to turn right and drive in front of the bar to access the rear car park while it also remains a one way system and exit will be by the side of Body Basics.  Signage has been installed today highlighting the changes to users with the only difference to the new regulations being on a matchday where no access will via the front of the club and deliveries will also continue to use the existing route.  Please take extra precaution while using the site as people get used to the new arrangements. Redditch United 2 Frome Town 1 Saturday 2nd March 2013 The Robins lost one of their most important games of the season with an injury time defeat at fellow relegation threatened side Redditch United. Redditch took a first half lead with a header but a much improved performance after the break saw substitute Ricky Hulbert set up Dave Thompson who headed home the equaliser.  With Frome looking for a winner Redditch were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time at the end of the game which was converted to condemn the Robins to an away defeat. Town sign Clark on loan Friday 1st March 2013 Frome Town have completed the signing of midfielder Matthew Clark from Salisbury City on a months loan.  Clark, who started at Southampton, goes straight into the Robins squad for the crucial trip to Redditch United tomorrow. Moose departs for Paulton Friday 1st March 2013 Defender Mike Reaney has left Frome Town and signed for Division One South & West play off chasing side Paulton Rovers.  Reaney joined the Robins from Warminster Town and made 106 appearances for the Club scoring one memorable goal at Brackley Town.  Everybody at the Club wishes Moose all the best for the future and sincerely thank him for his efforts while at the Club. Matchday arrangement changes Friday 1st March 2013 The Club have had to introduce some new arrangements for match days following the works undertaken in regards to the 90 Day Challenge and these changes take effect as of Wednesday night’s Red Insure Cup Semi-Final against Slough.  • Access to the bar areas will be as normal until one hour prior to kick off • There will be no entry into the ground from the bar areas after this time unless a ticket has been purchased and shown to the stewards on duty.  It is therefore imperative that you retain your entry ticket at all times • Anybody that hasn’t paid and wishes to watch the game will need to use the new turnstile located next to the BodyBasics studio • The vehicle access gates at both ends of the club house will be closed and not used during matchdays • The only entry directly from the ground into the bar will be by the main doors only • Blinds will be drawn in both The Venue & The Sports Bar for the duration of the matches and monitored by the bar staff • Turnstiles will remain open until 20 minutes into the second half The Club have deliberated these issues carefully and believe them to be the best route forward as we continue to try and insure that matchdays are as an enjoyable experience while trying to improve practices ready as part of the Clubs long term aim of improvement. We would ask all our supporters to help us during this time of change and understand the reasoning’s behind the new arrangements. Taunton Town 5 Frome Town 2 Wednesday 28th February 2013 Frome Town bowed out of the Somerset Premier Cup with a poor defeat at Division One South & West side Taunton Town.  After a bright first 20 minutes where Frome were on top things faded and a Simon Ingram free kick gave the hosts the lead.  Josh Ford equalised for the Robins with a header against his former Club but an error by Dave Thompson allowed Raith Plant to give the hosts a half time lead.  Things got worse after the break when Rodney Marsh notched twice to give his side a comfortable lead before debutant Jordan Copp blasted home Frome’s second to give Frome just a glimmer of hope of a remarkable comeback.  However it was short lived as Marsh completed his hat-trick to send the Peacocks into the semi finals and an away tie at Bridgwater Town.  A major plus for the Robins was the performance of new boy Copp but will be concerned at a growing injury list that now includes Tom Evans who pulled up with a thigh strain in the pre-match warm up and Dave Thompson who required an ambulance to attend for an injury picked up in the lead up to Taunton’s fifth goal. Robins snap up Copp Tuesday 26th February 2013 Frome Town are pleased to announce they have completed the signing of Jordan Copp.  The former Plymouth Argyle starlet is an attacking midfielder and made one first team appearance for the Pilgrims in a League Cup tie against Millwall.  Subject to league registration he goes straight into the squad for tomorrow night’s Somerset Premier Cup match at Taunton Town.  We welcome Jordan to FTFC and hope he has a successful and enjoyable spell with the Robins.  Meanwhile Darren Perrin continues to scour the transfer www.frometownfc.co.uk The official website of Frome Town FC FROME IS YOUR TOWN | YOUR TEAM | YOUR COMMUNITY Somerset & The South West’s Community Club of the Year (2012) Latest News Frome Town AFC are an unincorporated membership run club with their registered office being The AlderSmith Stadium, Berkley Rd, Frome, BA11 2EH ANDREWS Coaches 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
