Devizes Town U15s 3-4 Frome Town U15s
Saturday 27th September 2014
Frome Town under 15's travelled to Devizes for their second away game of the season. The pitch and
weather were perfect.
The game started with both teams playing some neat football but without really creating any clear cut chances.
Devizes were probably the more adventurous but Ethan in the Frome goal dealt with everything that came his way.
Devizes went ahead with a powerfully headed goal on 25 mins. Frome soon equalized with a strike from George 5
mins later following good play by Ben. Half time 1-1.
The second half did not start well for Frome. Devizes scored 2 well worked goals and were taking control of the game.
A switch in formation was made by Frome who had to take risks to try to get back in the game. Sam obliged with a
sweet strike from outside the box after a great surge downstream right by Josh. josh himself equalized a few minute
later with a great strike. Both teams were trying to secure all 3 points. Tireless work from Tom and George in the Frome
midfield helped Frome gain the upper hand. In the dying minutes Tyler headed the winner from a great corner by Sam.
Devizes threatened at the end but Zak and Joe, Frome men of the match, martialed the defence to keep the final score
at 4-3. Frome Town thank Devizes for an exciting, extremely competitive game of football played with great spirit by
both teams.
